Electromagnetic Clutch impeller pump, can be switched on or off by energising.
Because you can turn off an Electromagnetic Clutch impeller pump, it is very useful as a deck wash pump, bilge pump or general service pump.
The pump housing is made of seawater-resistant bronze. The pump is self-priming due to the rubber impeller.
The stainless steel shaft runs in permanently lubricated bearings, making this electromagnetic clutch impeller pump particularly long-lasting. It has a very high output of 448 litres per minute.
The pump is suitable for both pleasure and professional shipping.
An impeller pump cannot and should not run dry or without fluid. The impeller is made of rubber and is cooled by the liquid while the pump is running. Should the pump run without fluid, the heat causes the impeller to harden, causing the fins to crack and reduce or even stop pumping.
