Installation of quick-glow pins.<\/p>\n

We usually use the plus from the starter motor as the power supply (Cable lug M10) <\/a>and then go to a relay <\/a>number 30 through to the glow plugs themselves with 87.<\/p>\n

For this you would need about 2 to 3 metres of 6mm2 power wire <\/a>. Then all those thick cables to and from your dash could be dropped with the glow eye.
\nPossibly replace the 4 old intermediate cables <\/a>between the glowplugs <\/a>for new fresh ones, but that’s an option.
\nTo control the relay, you need a plus and minus on the 85 and 86 connection. How to does not matter, it is a coil.
\nIn the original situations, you glow through your ignition or glow switch and all the current (4 x 11Ampere) goes through your dashboard.
\nWe avoid this by switching the current from the starter motor with a relay.
\nSwitching on the relay can be done with a small current, a thin 1-2mm2 cable from your glow contact switch is sufficient.
\nYou can indeed use a Indicator light <\/a>to check if you are actually glowing.
\nYou connect this in parallel after your glow contact switch to ground.<\/p>\n

If the glow eye is connected in series to your glowers, it should do as this drawing shows.<\/p>\n
