They are designed according to the extremely strict Volvo Penta requirements for efficient operation with minimal play. They are permanently lubricated to ensure minimal friction and a long lifespan. For single engine installations, two cables are required, and for dual engine installations, four are needed.<\/p>\n<p>It is very important to select the exact cable length. Fewer bends result in better operation and durability. Measure the distance as straight as possible between the control mechanism and the engine\/transmission connections. For all bends, calculate a radius of 200 mm. Adjust the cable as shown in the image L = A + B + 200 mm. If the measurement falls between two standard cable lengths, choose the longer cable.
