Technodrive TMC60A245 is a mechanical reverse gear for inboard drive systems. This version has a reduction ratio of 2.45:1 in forward, 2.17:1 in reverse and an output shaft angle of 7°. The reverse gear transfers engine power mechanically to the propeller shaft and enables shifting between forward, neutral and reverse. Thanks to its compact design and angled setup, this version is suitable for light to medium-duty marine diesel engines. This helps prevent slipping, poor shifting, incorrect transmission ratio and damage caused by a worn or unsuitable reverse gear.

Main features and benefits:

Mechanical reverse gear: For inboard drive systems in marine applications
TMC60A version: Compact Technodrive reverse gear with output shaft angle
Forward reduction 2.45:1: Ensures the correct transmission ratio to the propeller shaft
Reverse reduction 2.17:1: For correct operation when reversing
Output shaft angle 7°: Suitable for installations where an angled setup is required
Maximum input speed 4,500 rpm: Suitable for appropriate marine engines within this specification
Oil capacity 0.6 litres: For correct lubrication of the mechanical transmission
ATF oil: Prescribed oil type for this reverse gear
Dry weight 15 kg: Compact version for marine drive systems
Important drive component: Helps prevent shifting problems, drive loss and wear in the propulsion system

Description

Technodrive mechanical reverse gear TMC60A 2.45:1 7°

The Technodrive TMC60A245 is a mechanically operated reverse gear for inboard drive systems. This version has a reduction ratio of 2.45:1 in forward, 2.17:1 in reverse and is equipped with an output shaft angle of 7°.

The reverse gear is designed for use in combination with light to medium-duty marine diesel engines. The transmission transfers engine power to the propeller shaft and forms an important part of the vessel’s drive line.

The maximum permitted input torque is 130 Nm for pleasure craft applications and 91 Nm for commercial craft applications. The maximum input power is 52 kW for pleasure craft and 39 kW for commercial craft. The reverse gear supports a maximum input speed of 4,500 rpm and has a dry weight of 15 kg.

Thanks to the 7° output shaft angle, the TMC60A is suitable for installations where an angled drive line setup is required. The mechanical operation ensures direct shifting between forward, neutral and reverse.
