The VETUS BPJ5B is a control panel with a 5-position joystick for controlling hydraulic VETUS bow thrusters. Thanks to the two-stage control, partial or full thrust can be selected in each direction of rotation. This allows the control to be better matched to the required manoeuvre.

From the neutral centre position, the joystick can be moved to port or starboard. The first position provides partial thrust for controlled corrections, while the second position activates the full available thrust when more power is required.

At partial thrust, the BPJ5B features a hold function. This allows the bow thruster to continue operating at this power level without having to keep the joystick continuously in position. This can be practical during docking or when the same correction is required for a longer period.

The panel is intended for VETUS hydraulic bow thruster systems with the corresponding load-sensing control. The front has an IP65 protection rating and the rear is rated IP20. The panel is also made from UV-resistant materials for use at a marine helm station.
