VETUS battery main switch 150A red – BATSW150R
The VETUS BATSW150R is a manually operated battery main switch for marine DC installations up to a maximum of 48V. The switch can be installed in the positive or negative battery cable and allows the connected electrical installation to be switched completely on or off easily.
The BATSW150R is suitable for a continuous load of 150A and can handle a maximum current of 1000A for 5 seconds. This makes the switch suitable for installations where, in addition to a normal continuous load, higher currents may occur for short periods.
For connection, the battery main switch is equipped with two M10 connection studs for secure installation of heavy-duty battery cables. Operation consists of two clearly defined positions: ON and OFF. On this specific 150A version, the red operating knob is not removable.
A battery main switch makes it possible to easily disconnect the electrical system from the battery during maintenance, storage or when the installation is not in use. This helps prevent unwanted power consumption and ensures that the system can be quickly isolated from the power supply.
