A worn, dried-out or damaged impeller can reduce the cooling water flow and eventually lead to insufficient engine cooling. Regular inspection and timely replacement help prevent damage caused by overheating.

The impeller kit contains

Impeller, O-ring, Volvo Penta impeller lubricant, two mounting bolts and sealing element.

Matching parts

Seawater pump end cover:
3587879 – seawater pump end cover.

Pump cam:
3583603 – cam inside the seawater pump along which the impeller blades are deformed during pumping.

Recommendation: when replacing the impeller, also inspect the end cover and pump cam for wear, grooves or damage. Wear on these parts can reduce the cooling water flow of the seawater pump.
