Important note:
With BSP threads (British Standard Pipe), the inch size does not correspond to the outside diameter of the thread. It is therefore not correct to measure the diameter of, for example, a pipe or skin fitting yourself and convert it from inches to millimeters; this will always lead to incorrect sizes. The internal bore diameter is used as the reference.
