Complete homokinetic drive and clutch received
When ordering a chosen drive, please specify the following and receive the set:
- Engine power and max speed
- Brand
- Type
- Gearbox reduction
- Protruding circle and centring edge of the output flange
- Propeller shaft diameter
Characteristics of homokinetic drive and coupling
- Up to 90% less noise and vibration production
- Remarkable simplification of engine/reverse gear units
- Alignment procedure is very easy due to self-aligning propeller shaft clamping hub in thrust bearing
- Can accommodate alignment differences up to 2×8º
- Variable-length drive shaft with two homokinetic couplings that can rotate even with uneven angles
- Robust thrust bearing transfers the thrust of the propeller directly to the ship’s hull via damping plastic bushes and not to the engine. This allows you to apply softer vibration dampers.
- Attachment of the cylindrical propeller shaft in the thrust bearing with a sturdy clamping bush.
Maximum installation angle homokinetic drive and coupling
Maximum installation angle of the homokinetic drive and coupling depends on the propeller shaft speed (rpm):
- 8º angle per (homokinetic coupling – max 1200 rpm
- 6º angle per homokinetic coupling – max 1500 rpm
- 5º angle per homokinetic coupling – max 2000 rpm
