Note:
You can also use the JMP maintenance kit below for OEM pumps. But beware! The mechanical seal in the maintenance kit is not usable for a not-JMP pump.
Use the OEM CAT mechanical seal instead. This MCSSET0008 is only used for the pump offered here.

Why has the mechanical seal been changed? The newly designed mechanical seal simply lasts much longer.
This makes it more durable and offers greater operating reliability. This seal from a JSM0168 set is only intended for these Caterpillar marine type C1.5 and C2.2 cooling water pumps.
