Important note:
With BSP thread (British Standard Pipe), the inch size does not correspond to the outside diameter of the thread. Therefore, it is not correct to measure the diameter of a pipe or hull fitting yourself and convert it from inches to millimeters; this will always lead to incorrect sizing. BSP dimensions are based on the internal bore diameter.
