   I had difficulty finding any replacement pump for my failed Sherwood. Oberdorfer is 6 months back ordered on their pump. I found this one and it looked like it would work. Unfortunately, it is not a drop in replacement. The body is 4mm thinner than the Sherwood, so the original clamps cannot hold the pump to the engine block. I added shims as a temporary solution and that has worked so far. I plan to have a machinist make an appropriate clamp this winter but it would have been better to have AB marine supply a clamp engineered for this pump.
