The manhole adapter with macrolon (transparent) cover plate offers a simple and effective solution for inspecting and cleaning fuel tanks, wastewater tanks, and other storage tanks in ships. Often, the correct opening or manhole for periodic inspections is missing, leading to contamination in the tank going unnoticed and significantly increasing the risk of failures, such as sudden engine stops.

After installing the stainless steel manhole adapter, you can easily inspect and clean the tank from the inside without the complexity or risks of hard-to-reach areas. The adapter is easy to install and can be placed on either the top or side of the tank, depending on the preference and system design.

The manhole adapter consists of a smart hinged flange with TIG-welded threaded ends, complete with oil-resistant seals for a safe and reliable seal. The transparent cover plate made of macrolon allows you to visually inspect the tank condition without removing the cover plate. This manhole adapter is supplied with stainless steel backing rings and nuts, as well as an external NBR rubber seal for extra safety and a watertight seal.

The adapter is suitable for plastic, steel, aluminum, and polyester tanks and comes with a convenient drilling template for easy installation. For the Ø 200 mm version, it is recommended to use the cover plate as the drilling template or trace the contours of the cover plate onto a large piece of paper to use as a template. The Ø 150 and Ø 200 mm versions are ISO 21487 certified, ensuring quality assurance.
