Further information
Easy charging of a double battery pack
Protects electrical components of the household battery circuit from start peaks.
Fully automatic
The voltage sensitive relay makes it possible to charge two battery packs at the same time.
When the engine is started and the starter battery reaches a voltage of 26.6V, the relay switches the charging current to the next packet.
If the voltage then drops below 25.6V due to the use of one of the packets, the relay automatically switches off the connection.
Even when the engine has stopped and the voltage of the batteries drops to the rest position, the connection between the two batteries is broken.
This makes it impossible for voltage to overflow, but it is still possible to charge without voltage loss or compensation.
The operation in brief. For a fully charged battery at rest is the voltage approx. 24V. When the battery is being charged, the voltage will rise to around 27.5 to 28V. When a voltage of 25.6V is reached, the packets are connected in parallel and both sets are charged. As soon as one of the packages is loaded, there will be a voltage drop, under 25.6V the connection will be broken again.
The relay can be easily connected by connecting the mass of both packages to each other and by connecting the relay in parallel to the pluses.
