Volvo Penta Coolant VCS-2 (orange) contains new inhibitors specifically tailored to the materials used in modern engines. This coolant offers improved protection against corrosion and deposits, and helps prevent cavitation and galvanic corrosion. The change interval for VCS-2 orange coolant is 4 years.

Note: Never mix VCS-2 orange coolant with Volvo Penta coolant (green). It can be mixed with yellow coolant. Always use the same type of coolant that was originally supplied with the engine (green, orange, or yellow).

VCS-2 (orange) is backward compatible and can be mixed with yellow VCS coolant. VCS-2 is the next-generation coolant developed by Volvo Penta to replace the previous VCS (yellow) coolant. It meets industry standards ASTM D3306 and Volvo Group Standard STD 418-0007 to ensure optimized performance in Volvo diesel engines.
