Volvo Penta sensor 23713682 is a combined oil pressure and temperature sensor for various Volvo Penta diesel engines and IPS (Inboard Performance System) drives. This sensor continuously measures oil pressure and temperature, sending those signals to the electronic control unit (ECU). Through precise measurement, it helps optimize engine management and prevents the engine from unnecessarily going into “limp mode” (fail-safe mode) due to incorrect or missing sensor data.
