Manhole Adapter and Plate 100mm Stainless Steel – Retrofit Installation

Often, openings/manholes are missing to inspect and clean the fuel tank, causing contamination to go unchecked and significantly increasing the risk of issues such as a sudden engine stop.

Once the tank (for fuel, wastewater, etc.) is installed in the ship, it is often difficult and sometimes even impossible to access the tank properly afterward without performing risky maneuvers and/or constantly dealing with leaks.

After installing our stainless steel manhole adapter, you can easily inspect and clean the tank from the inside. The manhole adapter is easy to install and can be placed on either the top or side of the tank, depending on preference.

The manhole adapter consists of a cleverly designed hinged flange with TIG-welded threaded ends, complete with oil-resistant seals, and is available with a stainless steel cover plate.

The manhole adapter is made from 3 mm thick stainless steel and is supplied with stainless steel backing rings and nuts. An external seal (made of NBR rubber) and a cover plate complete the manhole adapter. The manhole adapters come with a convenient drilling template. For the Ø 200 mm version, we recommend using the cover plate as a drilling template or tracing the contours of the cover plate on a sufficiently large piece of paper to use as a template.

The Ø 150 and Ø 200 mm versions are ISO 21487 certified. The manhole adapter can be mounted on tanks made of plastic, steel, aluminum, and polyester.
