Parallel to increase output current
An unlimited number of Orion XS devices can be connected in parallel, allowing the output current to be easily adjusted to meet system requirements.

Smart alternator compatibility
With built-in motor run detection, the Orion XS ensures that the charger only draws power when the engine is running. It also helps to draw the correct charging current from smart alternators, such as those found in Euro 5 and Euro 6 engines.

Adaptive charging algorithm
The Orion XS features adjustable and pre-set charging algorithms for lithium and lead-acid batteries, ensuring optimal charging for both shallow and deep discharges.

Complete electronic protection
The Orion XS is equipped with comprehensive electronic protection against overload, short circuits, and excessive temperatures. The output power is automatically reduced if the maximum product temperature is reached.

Low temperature shutdown & low voltage protection
To prevent damage to lithium batteries, the charger automatically shuts off at low temperatures and if the input voltage falls below a user-set threshold value, protecting the start battery from deep discharge.

The value represents the nominal power level at a characteristic voltage of 14 V (12/12-50 A) and 28 V (Orion XS 1400). Power is calculated as the product of applied voltage and current (P = V × I). Examples: 12 V × 50 A = 600 W, 14 V × 50 A = 700 W, 28 V x 50 A = 1400 W

Dust & water resistant
The Orion XS is designed to resist dust and water contamination and has an IP65 rating.
