Propeller shaft seal water-lubricated EVO

EVO features an 8.00mm hose connection for forced water lubrication or permanent venting.

The Rubber Stuffy Box is a proven product for sealing and lubrication of propeller shaft installations.
Can be used on any vessel equipped with propeller shaft and is easy to assemble.
This rubber inner bearing provides a versatile and long-lasting insulation.
Only inject annually with propeller shaft grease, this bearing seal therefore requires very little maintenance.

Description

Installation and maintenance

  • Always install the Stuffybox below the waterline.
  • Make sure the propeller shaft is clean, smooth and completely grease-free during installation. Dirt, burrs or damage can damage the lip seals and cause leakage.
  • Thoroughly lubricate the lip seals before installation with the supplied grease or suitable propeller shaft grease.
  • Maintain a minimum installation overlap of 38 mm.
  • Bleed the Stuffybox when launching, so the seal is cooled and lubricated by the outside water.
  • For long-term maintenance, apply one small grease dosage annually via the grease hose or grease nipple.
  • Replace the Stuffybox after a maximum of 4 years or 500 operating hours.
