Thanks to its stainless steel armored core and high-quality stainless steel and plated brass fittings, free play and operating resistance are kept to a minimum. This provides lighter, more precise control, even in complex cable routings or confined engine compartments.

Volvo Penta Xact control cables are designed to provide the smoothest and easiest throttle and shift operation while minimizing lost motion. All fittings are made of stainless steel and plated brass. The fully stainless steel armored strand core offers increased flexibility and allows tighter bend radii for challenging cable routing.

It is very important to select the correct cable length. Fewer bends result in better performance and longer service life. Measure the distance between the control mechanism and the engine/transmission connections as straight as possible. For every bend, allow a radius of 200 mm. Calculate the cable length as shown in the illustration: L = A + B + 200 mm. If your measurement falls between two standard cable lengths, always choose the longer cable. The cables must not be cut to length.
