The Python-Drive is a complete propulsion system for yachts, sloops, and workboats of all types and sizes. After installing a Python-Drive, periodic alignment of the engine to the propeller shaft is no longer required, annoying axial drive reactions between engine and propeller shaft are eliminated, and the thrust is transferred ‘softly’ to the vessel’s hull via the special rubber-mounted suspension of the thrust bearing. The heart of every Python-Drive is the maintenance-free constant velocity drive shaft, which in all versions is generously dimensioned for its task. The thrust bearing is heavily dimensioned for all models and is maintenance-free. The thrust bearing is mounted using a clamping ring that centers the propeller shaft exactly where it belongs – directly behind the constant velocity drive shaft.

This specially developed mounting plate for the Python-Drive P30-R models makes installation in a vessel significantly easier. The plate serves as a solid base, allowing the Python-Drive to be positioned quickly and accurately between the vessel’s frames. This saves a lot of time when aligning and preparing the installation.

Normally, cutting out the correct shape for a Python-Drive installation is fairly complex and often requires heavy tools such as a cutting torch. With this mounting plate, much of that work is already pre-prepared, making installation faster, neater, and more efficient.
