With the help of this impeller pump from Yanmar for 2GMF and 3GMF engines you ensure that your cooling water system functions perfectly again. The impeller, the rubber part that pumps cooling water around, should be replaced at least every few years, preferably during the winter break. This means that the water around your ship exchanges heat with the coolant in your engine. The further difference with the 2GM 3GM variation is the thickness of the machined cam that resides in the impeller pump housing. Ob die Pumpe funktioniert und das Material gut ist für die vorhandene direkte Motorkühlung, zeigt sich noch. Hierzu habe ich nur eine mündliche Bestätigung der Firma.
Leider fehlte eine Beschriebung mmit dem Hinweis, dass vor der Montage zuerst die Riemenscheibe abmontiert werden muss. Sonst lassen sich die Schrauben für den Halter nicht einsetzen.
Für die Demontage muss die Scheibe im Schraubstock eingespannt werden, der natütlich an Bord nicht vorhanden ist.
Nach Lösung des Problems tut die Pumpe aber zuberlässig Ihren Dienst
Leider fehlte eine Beschreibung, dass zur Montage zuerst die Riemenscheibe abmontiert werden muss. Sonst lassen sich die Schrauben zur Montage am Halterahmen nicht einsetzen. Um die Riemenscheibe abzumontieren wird ein Schraubstock benötigt, um die Scheibe einzupannen. War natürlich an Bord beim Einbau nicht vorhanden.
Nach Lösung dieses Problems tut die Pumpe aber prima ihren Dienst.
