Parallel to increase output current
An unlimited number of Orion XS units can be connected in parallel, so that the output current can easily be adjusted to the system requirements.

Smart alternator compatibility
With the built-in engine running detection, the Orion XS ensures that the charger only draws current when the engine is running. It also helps to draw the correct charging current from intelligent alternators such as those found in Euro 5 and Euro 6 engines.

Adaptive charging algorithm
The Orion XS features adaptive and preset charging algorithms for lithium and lead-acid batteries, ensuring optimum charging for both shallow and deep discharges.

Full electronic protection
The Orion XS is equipped with extensive electronic protection against overload, short circuit and high temperatures. The output power is automatically reduced when the maximum product temperature is reached.

Low temperature shutdown & undervoltage protection
To prevent damage to lithium batteries, the charger automatically switches off at low temperatures and when the input voltage drops below a user-selectable lockout value, protecting the starter battery from being over-discharged.

Dust & waterproof
The Orion XS is designed to withstand dust and water contamination and has an IP65 classification.
