Solé Diesel complete air filter for Mini series

The Solé Diesel complete air filter is a complete air filter assembly for the air intake system of a wide range of Solé Mini marine diesel engines. The air filter removes dust, dirt and other airborne contaminants from the intake air before they can enter the engine.

A diesel engine requires a sufficient supply of clean air for proper combustion. The air filter therefore not only helps keep the air supply clean, but also protects internal engine components against contamination and premature wear.

Complete air filter assembly

This product is the complete air filter including housing. It is therefore suitable when not only the filter element, but also the existing air filter housing is damaged, worn or no longer present.

If the housing is still in good condition, only the separate filter element can be replaced during regular maintenance. The Solé Diesel air filter element 22.13810073 is available for this purpose.

Function of the air filter

While the engine is running, air is continuously drawn in for the combustion of diesel fuel. Without proper filtration, dust and dirt can enter the engine through the intake system.

The air filter therefore provides the first line of protection for the intake system. The filter material traps contaminants and helps reduce wear and contamination of internal engine components.

Importance of sufficient air supply

As the filter element collects more dirt, resistance in the air intake system can increase. A heavily contaminated filter can restrict the amount of intake air and thereby affect combustion and engine performance.

Regular inspection and timely replacement of the filter element therefore help maintain a proper air supply to the engine.

Replaces older version

This complete air filter assembly is used as a replacement for the older air filter version with reference 12111031. This allows an older Solé Mini engine to be fitted with the complete new air filter version.

Maintenance

Check the air filter during regular engine maintenance for contamination, damage and proper connection to the intake system. If only the filter element is contaminated and the housing is still in good condition, the separate filter element can be replaced.

During installation, also check that all connections are properly sealed. Unfiltered air drawn in past the filter element or housing reduces the protective effect of the air filter.
