The Solé Diesel SSG-30 is an advanced instrument and engine control panel for Solé Mini-17 and Mini-29 ETS marine diesel engines. The panel combines engine controls with clear information on engine speed, coolant temperature and engine oil pressure.

This version features white dials in a black panel and was developed as the modern successor to the older SVT-30 instrument panel. The various gauges and warning functions help the operator monitor the engine while cruising.

When replacing an existing panel, always check the exact engine type, existing panel configuration and electrical connections. This helps prevent ordering a panel that is incompatible with the existing engine installation.

Tachometer with integrated hour meter

The central analogue tachometer displays the current engine speed. The integrated hour meter records the engine operating hours and helps determine maintenance intervals.

Monitoring engine speed while cruising allows the operator to better track engine load and identify deviations from the normal engine speed range.

Temperature gauge and oil pressure gauge

The SSG-30 features separate gauges for coolant temperature and engine oil pressure. These allow the operator to monitor important engine operating parameters directly from the helm station.

Rising engine temperature or abnormal oil pressure may indicate a problem with the cooling or lubrication system. Monitoring these values helps identify potential faults at an earlier stage.

Warning lights and alarm functions

IP65 protection and anti-condensation glass

The front of the SSG-30 has an IP65 protection rating. This means the front is dust-tight and protected against water jets. This protection is important for instruments used in the humid environment on board a vessel.

The instrument glass also features an anti-condensation treatment that helps reduce condensation. This improves the readability of the gauges under varying temperatures and high humidity conditions.

For a reliable installation, it is also important to protect the rear of the panel and the electrical connections against moisture and corrosion. Installation in a suitable sheltered location is therefore recommended.

Successor to the SVT-30 instrument panel

The SSG-30 is the modern successor to the older Solé Diesel SVT-30 instrument panel for the relevant Mini engines. It combines the familiar functions of an advanced engine panel with an updated electronic design.

When replacing an existing SVT-30 panel, check whether the electrical connections and wiring harness are compatible with the SSG-30. Do not automatically assume that the existing connections can be reused without modifications.

Installation and inspection

Before installation, check the available installation space, electrical connections and compatibility with the engine. Follow the Solé Diesel technical documentation for the electrical connection.

After installation, check that the tachometer, hour meter, temperature gauge, oil pressure gauge, warning lights, preheating function and engine start and stop controls operate correctly before putting the vessel back into service.
