When a charge regulator can not charge the battery in top condition in one day, the result is often that the battery constantly fluctuates between “partially charged” and entirely empty. This method (the battery regularly not recharging completely) makes a battery lazy after a while. The BatteryLife algorithm monitors the charging status of the battery and increases the level of load decoupling day after day until the absorption voltage is reached. From that moment on the level of load decoupling is modulated, so that the absorption voltage is reached about once a week.
The MPPT charger can also be set to follow the traditional charge control mode with a fixed decoupling voltage. The load output is short-circuit protected and can handle capacitive loads like feeding a converter.
Resin cast electronics protects the electronic components from the environment.Rated charging current: 15 Amps.
