These quantities are based on the Solé Diesel operating manual U_CTMT1755_EN. When changing the oil, always check the exact engine version and the oil level using the dipstick. Do not fill the engine above the maximum oil level.

For an engine oil change, you can use the following genuine Solé Diesel engine oil:

For the Mini-33 v6, one 5-litre container is sufficient for an engine oil change, including the oil filter. For the Mini-44 v6, two 5-litre containers are required to provide the necessary 6.0 litres.

Engine oil is supplied separately and is not included in the service case.

A damaged impeller, for example, can disrupt cooling water circulation, resulting in insufficient engine cooling. A worn or broken V-belt can affect the operation of driven engine components.

Keeping these parts as spares on board allows certain faults to be repaired more quickly, provided the necessary knowledge and tools are available.

Maintenance of the lubrication and fuel systems

The included oil filter removes dirt particles, soot and wear particles from the engine oil. This helps protect moving engine components against wear caused by contaminants.

The fuel filter helps remove dirt particles from diesel fuel before they reach sensitive components of the injection system. A contaminated fuel filter can restrict the fuel supply and cause problems such as difficulty starting, irregular engine operation or loss of power.

Replace the filters according to the Solé Diesel maintenance schedule. It is recommended to replace the oil filter at the same time as the engine oil.

Seawater pump maintenance

The included impeller overhaul kit is intended for seawater pump maintenance. The impeller ensures that seawater is pumped through the cooling system, helping to dissipate heat from the engine.

Prolonged use, wear or dry running can damage the flexible impeller blades. This can reduce cooling water circulation, increasing the risk of engine overheating.

When replacing the impeller, also inspect the pump housing and pump cover for damage or wear. Use the matching gasket to ensure a proper seal on the pump cover.

V-belt inspection and replacement

The V-belt provides the mechanical drive for designated engine components, including the alternator. A properly functioning V-belt is important for reliable battery charging while the engine is running.

Regularly inspect the V-belt for cracks, wear, damaged edges and correct tension. A slipping V-belt can cause squealing noises and reduce the drive to connected components.

It is advisable to keep a suitable spare V-belt on board so that a damaged belt can be replaced if necessary.

Cooling system protection

The included anode is designed to protect designated metal components of the cooling system against galvanic corrosion. The anode gradually deteriorates during use and must be inspected and replaced according to the maintenance instructions.

When replacing the anode, also check its mounting and seal to prevent leaks.

This service case has been specifically assembled for the Solé Diesel Mini-33 and Mini-44 v6. The kit is not automatically suitable for older engine versions or Genset versions of these engines.
